LYRICS BORN:

You’re so sensitive
All I said was simple sentences
Premises was left as if the messages were venomous
They are though
Guess it’s just my penmanship and how it moves
Your torso
Suckas steer clear of me like feminists
do car shows

There’s a little punchline for those of you
who love rhymes with those in ‘em.

What Are the Best Rap Albums Ever?

without comments

People often confuse rap with hip hop. Rap is an element of Hip Hop, but not Hip Hop itself. Hip Hop, as purists know, is composed of four primary elements: DJ Skills (Turntablism), Breakdance, MC skills (Rap), and the art of Graffiti. Other elements have been added over time to the culture of hip hop, including the “5th Element”, Skateboarding.

I think it’s good to categorize things. To be able to identify the elements that make up the whole. It’s important to have an analytical mind, after all.

So, let’s analyze and objectively answer an important question. What are the best rap albums ever? I have a few ideas, but you might know better than anyone else. Let the world know in the comments below. What are the best rap albums ever?

Measure by the following standards: lyricism, delivery, impact, and content.

  • Lyricism: The vocabulary of the rapper. His words. His use of poetic devices within his words.
  • Delivery: The flocabulary of the rapper. How does he say what he says? Timbre, tone, and rhythm should be addressed in this category.
  • Impact: The reach and engagement of the rapper. Does what he rap matter? How has it mattered?
  • Content: The stuff the rapper raps about. What is the message itself? Why would the rapper rap on this subject?

So what are the best rap ablums, ever?
